Adam Targum - Executive Producer/Showrunner
Mr. Targum is a prolific screenwriter, producer, director, and educator who is recognized for over twenty years of notable work in both television and feature films. Known for his compelling character-driven stories with high emotional stakes, his credits span multiple dramatic genres, from gritty procedurals and crime noir to science fiction dramas and action-packed thrillers.
From his early work on The Dead Zone, Mr. Targum's television career has encompassed episodic fare including Blade, Standoff, CSI: NY, and NCIS: New Orleans. His showrunner credits include HBO/Cinemax's Outcast and Syfy's Deadly Class. As Executive Producer/Showrunner of HBO/Cinemax's Banshee, he expanded into directing.
A proud graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Mr. Targum has spent several years teaching graduate screenwriting at USC's prestigious School of Cinematic Arts.
Carlos Bolado - Executive Producer/Director
Carlos Bolado, an Indigenous Peoples filmmaker of Zacatecan descent, is a seasoned director and editor with over 30 years of experience. His unique perspective and technical mastery have shaped his approach to storytelling across film, television, and documentaries. Mr. Bolado's debut film, Baja California: El Limite Del Tiempo, won two Ariel Awards for editing and Best First Work, establishing him as a leading creative force in Latin American cinema.
Mr. Bolado was the Executive Producer and Director of the global hit series, La Reina Del Sur 3. This engaging episodic was the #1 most watched TV series in Spanish on Netflix and the #6 most-watched series in the world in any language. Mr. Bolado's proven ability to bring authentic storytelling to a worldwide audience makes him a key asset in positioning Onyx Element for success in the global entertainment market.
Chimene Davis - Executive Producer/Producer
Ms. Davis is the CEO and founder of Suburban Media Partners and 50% owner in the rights to Onyx Element. Ms. Davis has been involved in the production of films, television, music videos, and commercials for over 25 years. Her catalog includes Super Bowl commercials, Billboard Top 40 music videos, Live Broadcast News and Entertainment TV, as well as advertising campaigns for the world's biggest brands. Ms. Davis has worked with film luminaries such as Michael Bay and Spike Lee.
Ms. Davis' body of work as a producer and creative executive is evidence that she knows how to identify, create, and deliver what audiences want.
John Milan - Executive Producer/Producer
Mr. Milan is the CEO and founder of Almina Media, Inc. and 50% owner in the rights to Onyx Element. Mr. Milan's 35-year career in the entertainment industry includes experience in financing productions, acquisitions, worldwide distribution of entertainment products, international banking, and corporate mergers and acquisitions. With over $2 billion in entertainment financing under his belt, Mr. Milan has led and been an integral part of teams positioning entertainment entities, from major studios to independent production companies, for sustained profitability.
At Sony Pictures Entertainment, his division consistently delivered strong profitability for the studio, and his work at Fox further deepened his perspective across the global distribution landscape. It is this breath of experience, and an instinct for identifying projects with worldwide potential, that Mr. Milan now brings to Onyx Element.
Aurora Cady - Co-Producer
Aurora Candy is an Indigenous Peoples producer and a writer of Navajo descent. Her experience spans finance, production, and creative development. Her credits include 1923, Jack Ryan, Percy Jackson, and Kung Fury 2. At Polaris Pictures in Los Angeles, she worked as a producer greenlighting independent features. She is the co-founder of Bad Witches Productions, a femme-led development and production company focused on original film and television. She also serves as executive producer of Murdered and Missing News and Burnt Marshmallows, media brands with weekly podcasts and social media presence.
Aurora brings a rare entrepreneurial foundation to her producing work, having previously founded and led a medical technology company for over a decade before building her career in film and television.
